Design Philosophy

Landscaping

Bloom’n Gardens Landscape strives to provide each client with a beautiful and functional landscape that fits your lifestyle. We take a partnership approach by helping you develop your ideas and visions, guiding you through the design process and ultimately developing a design plan. Through personal interviews and questionnaires, we develop the foundation of the plan by taking into consideration the climate, your lifestyle, your personal taste, your site topography and sun and shade exposure. Incorporating hardscapes like patios, pathways, ponds, fireplaces, and kitchens will determine the skeletal layout of the design. Helping you choose the right plants for the right place ensures long term success and enhances maintainability. We take careful consideration when recommending plants’ for a design. Blooming times, size, growth rates and fall color are all integral to developing the desired balance and harmony required when creating a beautiful yet functional landscape. Our ultimate goal is to make your outdoor environment an extension of your indoor living space and reflective of your unique personality. At Bloom’n Gardens Landscape we are committed to delivering a landscape design that is both beautiful and functional so that your outdoor space is as comfortable and inviting as the inside of your home. The greatest compliment we can receive is for a client to express that they feel like they have taken a mini vacation when enjoying their new landscape.

Landscape Proposals vs. Landscape Plans

Landscape Proposal

After an initial consultation we can either prepare a landscape proposal or draw up a landscape plan for your project. A landscape proposal is developed after consulting with the client to determine current needs, future goals and estimated budget. Based on the information collected a detailed proposal outlining our solution to your needs is prepared and delivered for review. Landscape proposals are normally prepared for small landscape enhancements, maintenance plans, additions of small hardscapes and irrigation system installations, upgrades or repairs. Proposals are generally completed and delivered to the client within one week from the date of the initial consultation.

Development of a landscape plan is a more structured process designed to include significant input from the client and can take two weeks or longer to develop, depending on the size and complexity of the project. A landscape plan can include concept drawings, scaled drawings, plant lists, pictorials and detailed project cost estimates. The design fee is dependent on the complexity of the project and is based on $50.00 per hour with a 3 hour minimum.
